1. Introduction

Welcome to Hotel Rheinfall. These Terms and Conditions govern your stay and use of services provided by Hotel Rheinfall, located at Zentralstrasse 60, 8212 Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Switzerland. By making a reservation and/or staying at our hotel, you agree to these terms in full.

2. Reservations and Payment

2.1. Booking confirmation: Reservations are only confirmed upon receipt of a booking confirmation from Hotel Rheinfall. A booking reference number will be assigned for your convenience.

2.2. Payment methods: We accept payment by cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), and debit cards. For direct bookings, payment is typically due upon arrival.

2.3. Rate validity: All rates are quoted in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include applicable VAT/taxes.

2.4. Best Rate Guarantee: We offer the best available rates for direct bookings through our website. Details of our Best Rate Guarantee are available on our website.

3. Check-in and Check-out

3.1. Check-in time: Check-in is available from 14:30 to 22:00. If you plan to arrive outside these hours, please contact us in advance.

3.2. Check-out time: Check-out is by 11:00 on the day of departure. Late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability, additional charges may apply.

3.3. Identification requirements: Valid photo identification (passport or ID card) is required at check-in.

4. Cancellation Policy

4.1. Standard reservations: Cancellations made up to 48 hours before the scheduled arrival are free of charge. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before arrival may be subject to a charge of the first night's accommodation.

4.2. Non-refundable reservations: Some special offers and promotions may have different cancellation terms which will be specified during the booking process.

4.3. No-shows: Failure to arrive on the scheduled check-in date without prior notification may result in a charge equivalent to the first night's stay.

5. Hotel Rules and Regulations

5.1. Conduct: Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner towards staff and other guests. Hotel Rheinfall reserves the right to refuse service or accommodation to anyone displaying disruptive behavior.

5.2. Room occupancy: The maximum number of guests per room is strictly enforced for safety and comfort reasons. Additional charges apply for extra guests where permitted.

5.3. Smoking policy: Hotel Rheinfall is a non-smoking establishment. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas. A cleaning fee of CHF 200 will be charged for violations.

5.4. Pet policy: Well-behaved pets are welcome in designated rooms for an additional fee of CHF 20 per stay. Pet owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pets.

6. Damage and Liability

6.1. Room condition: Guests are liable for any damage to hotel property caused by them during their stay.

6.2. Personal belongings: Hotel Rheinfall is not responsible for loss or damage to guests' personal property. We recommend using the in-room safes provided.

6.3. Limitation of liability: Our liability for any loss or damage suffered by a guest is limited to the amount paid for the accommodation except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

7. WiFi and Internet

7.1. Access: Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the hotel. Access details are provided at check-in.

7.2. Acceptable use: Guests agree to use the internet service responsibly and legally, refraining from accessing inappropriate content or engaging in illegal activities.

8. City Tax

A mandatory city tax of CHF 2.50 per person per night is charged. This covers the costs of promoting tourism and maintaining facilities in Neuhausen am Rheinfall.

9. Force Majeure

Hotel Rheinfall is not liable for failure to perform its obligations under these terms if such failure is as a result of Acts of God (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, or other natural disaster), war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities, civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, terrorist activities, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labor dispute, strike, lockout or interruption or failure of electricity.

10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with Swiss law. Any disputes arising under these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Switzerland.

11. Privacy

Hotel Rheinfall respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we process and protect your personal information.

12. Amendments

Hotel Rheinfall reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
